No Yeast Pizza Recipe

This recipe is inspired from pizza, I had in St. Louis. It was so good! It's a thin crust pizza without the use of yeast, topped with delicious sauce and cheese. This pizza can be done in 30 minutes.

In this recipe, I have used homemade tomato sauce. You can use any available pizza sauce.

Yield : Two 10" Pizzas
Oven Temperature : 425℉/220℃
Bake Time : 10 to 12 minutes

For dough
  • 2 cups all purpose flour/maida
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¾ cup water
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
For Tomato sauce
  • 5 peeled tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp tomato paste or tomato ketchup
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • ½ tsp chili powder/chili flakes(optional)
  • Salt and pepper
For Topping
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • Chili flakes(optional)

In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Add water and olive oil, mix well with a spoon until a shaggy dough is formed. knead the dough on a floured surface until a smooth dough is formed. Cover and rest the dough for 15 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 425℉/220℃. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Make the tomato sauce by blending peeled tomatoes with tomato paste or ketchup, Italian seasoning, sugar, garlic powder, chili powder, salt and pepper.

Cut the dough into 2 equal halves. Take one dough piece and roll it into a thin 10 inch circle using a rolling pin on a floured surface. sprinkle some cornmeal or semolina over the parchment paper and place the rolled dough over it.

Spread the tomato sauce over the dough with a spoon. Add half portions of each cheese and add other toppings as you like.

Bake in a preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Slice the pizza in squares and serve it hot. Repeat the process with remaining dough and ingredients.
